1. Who this policy covers
This policy explains what PnL Metrics LLC ("PnL Metrics," "we," "us") collects when you use pnlmetrics.com and the PnL Metrics application (the "Service"), why we collect it, and the choices you have.
2. What we collect

We do not collect payment card details ourselves — if paid plans are introduced, billing is handled by a dedicated payment processor who never shares your card number with us.
3. How we use it
- To run the Service: storing your trades, computing your stats, rendering your charts and reports.
- To send account-related email: confirming your email address, password reset links. We don't send marketing email unless you separately opt in.
- To keep the Service secure and working: detecting abuse, debugging errors.
4. The AI Coach feature
If you use the AI Coach, we send it a summary of computed statistics about your trades for the date range you select — things like your win rate, average hold time by bucket, and performance by day of week. Your raw trade notes, journal entries, and checklist notes are never sent to the AI Coach or to Anthropic. Your questions to the coach and its answers are sent to Anthropic (the maker of Claude, the AI model) solely to generate the response; they are not used by Anthropic to train their models under our agreement with them.
5. Who we share data with
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers — we don't run ads at all. We do rely on a small number of service providers to run PnL Metrics, each of which only receives what it needs to do its job:

| TradingView | If you open a price chart on a trade, your browser loads that chart directly from TradingView. That connection, and any cookies TradingView sets, are between your browser and TradingView — governed by their own privacy policy, not ours. |
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of PnL Metrics or our users.
6. Cookies & local storage
We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in between visits. We don't use third-party advertising or tracking cookies. TradingView's embedded charts may set their own cookies, as noted above.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep your account and trade data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time inside the app (tap your profile picture, then Delete account). This permanently removes your account and all associated data — trades, journal entries, checklists, and your profile picture. You can also email support@pnlmetrics.com and we'll delete it for you.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You can exercise any of these by emailing support@pnlmetrics.com.
9. Security
Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Passwords are hashed, never stored as plain text. Access to your trade data is restricted at the database level so that only your own authenticated account can read or write it. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
PnL Metrics is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect data from, anyone under 18.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
